Glamour Girlz Beauty Salon - April 1st

Yesterday evening, Glamour Girlz Beauty Salon celebrated their 1 year anniversary. Taiyana, store owner, invited friends, family and clients to help celebrate the momentous occassion with her. It was an evening full of fun, laughter and good cheer!
Taiyana presented Mr. Barry Decouto with a plaque to show her appreciation for all that he has done to assist her.

Fairmont Southampton Princess - Dec 12th

Fairmont Southampton (South P) held their Hollywood Themed Staff Xmas Party last week Wednesday.
I think it is fair to say that South P has had by far the best raffle drawings. One young lady won a trip to ANYWHERE in the world PLUS $2K in spending money - she chose London. I believe a gentleman won a trip to Whistler in Canada plus $2K in spending money. Another young lady won a trip to Washington D.C. plus $2K. There were also some persons who won stays in local resorts and one VERY lucky gentleman won $5K CASH!! That’s 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 thousand dollars…in CASH!
The atmosphere of the entire evening was fun and relaxing. Individuals and departments received awards for their outstanding service and commitment to guests. Did I already mention that one VERY lucky gentleman won $5K CASH?? After all the prizes were given out and the speeches were completed, Jason Sukedo - “D’General”, started doing what he does best and the staff were on their feet shaking ‘what dey momma’s gave ‘em’.
Before you go, did I already mention that one VERY lucky gentleman won $5K CASH?? I bet you won a turkey at your staff party raffle, right? Makes you want to tell your boss to take the turkey and STUFF IT - no pun intended.

Capital G Gmas Party - Dec 7th

I was contacted by a rep from Capital G about 5-6 weeks ago inquiring about my availability to photographer their staff at the start of their Gmas party. The rep mentioned that Capital G wanted something Gdifferent then the usual background; their party theme was ‘Hollywood’. My assistant and I put our heads together and floated a few ideas around.
In the end, we decided on a Hollywood Arch as the ‘photo booth’. Capital G provided a red carpet, Tameisha Greene, from Ambiance, drapped the entrance in red with……ahhh..stuff, chiffon like material I think (sorry, I’m a guy) and Michael Outerbridge designed a 7ft - Oscar which was placed at the beginning of the red carpet and he also designed the ‘palm tree’ backdrop.

Fairmont Hamilton Princess - Nov 21st

The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel held their Long Term Service Awards at their property on November 21st, 2007. Awards were given out for 3, 10, 20, 35 and 40 years or service. Imagine that!!
In today’s society there are still employees who are loyal to their employers for 20 + years of service. Kudos!!
Chic Studio has recently venturned into corporate event photography. We have a few upcoming corporate Christmas parties and we are planning on delving deeper into corporate event photography in 2008.
